Our Digital idea
Biff Digital is our new online initiative, introduced in 2014 as a pilot scheme, the idea was to create more accessibility to the film festival's programme, the introduction was a success. This meant that you could watch submitted films in the comfort of your home or chosen location. Weather it was on your mobile device, laptop or computer. It also gave people with disabilities more access to the film festival. This year we intend to launch BIFF Digital officially. As from October this year BIFF Digital will be part of the festival's programme. We have chosen the YouTube platform as this is the most popular and stable viewing platform which that can accommodate the screenings. Biff Digital will also give us more flexibility to screen submitted films, with less scrutiny so it becomes easily for you film makers to be part of the film festival. This is a limited on demand service, so films that are part of Digital programme will only be available on the day of screening and will schedule in particular time slots. All films and will be removed by the following day.
